Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables bell peppers, onions, mushrooms
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: grated Parmesan cheese red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • At home, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Divide pizza dough into 6 portions and roll each into a circle.
  • On one half of each circle, layer sauce, cheese, sausage, and vegetables.
  • Sprinkle with oregano and basil.
  • Fold dough over to create a half-moon shape and crimp edges to seal.
  • Brush with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool completely, then wrap individually in foil.
  • Store in an airtight container or ziplock bag in the refrigerator or cooler.
  • At campsite, brush with olive oil and reheat on a grill over the campfire for about 10 minutes, turning once.
