Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups sliced peaches fresh or canned
  • 1 cup sugar divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your campfire and let it burn down to hot coals.
  • In a 12-inch Dutch oven, combine peaches with 1/2 cup sugar.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in melted butter, milk, and vanilla until just combined.
  • Pour the batter over the peaches in the Dutch oven.
